With me deleting my twitter, I’ve been toggling with the idea of doing news blasts like this to share my work. If this works out, I’ll make this a recurring blast for reviews or interviews of major titles.
My latest review is Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. It’s a film that has a lot riding on it: The movie needs to honor Chadwick Boseman’s memory (the actor passed away in August of 2020), meet blockbuster expectations and fuel the next phase of a cinematic universe. No film should have that much pressure on it, but Wakanda Forever does. And you can feel the strain. You can find my review for the film at RogerEbert.com.
